Maria Paola di Rovasenda The Di Rovasenda agricultural company, established in the 1970s, is a rice-growing company in the province of Vercelli in close to the Biella hills, among the first flat lands suited to the cultivation of rice.

This land called "Baraggia", it is not particularly fertile, but on the other hand it guarantees high quality production.

In 1995 Maria inherited the family business from her father and began the process of converting to organic farming. The application of natural methods has taken place since 2008 and with gradual processes the organic certification was obtained on all the company's lands in 2016.

The company is very attentive to the protection and preservation of the environment, in fact the land is cultivated without the use of chemicals. All of the company's production is organic and collaborations have been started with the universities of Milan and Turin for the research of techniques that allow to obtain a truly natural and organic product. Since 2021 he has participated in the creation of the Organic Piedmont rice district which involves about 500 hectares of organic plots.

The company also adheres to the project Rice-BioSystem, which provides for the organization of working groups and field trials, the collection of data and the identification of new agronomic techniques in the cultivation and production of rice.

Today the company presents itself as dynamic and avant-garde, where new production techniques are being tested which aim to increasingly use natural fertilizers while respecting the environment and biodiversity.
