Organic Yuzu Green Tea

A refined Japanese blend of green tea and yuzu, with fresh citrus notes, organic

Two great Japanese products in one cup: the freshness of green tea and the citrus scent of yuzu.

Les Jardins de Gaïa Yuzu Green Tea

Les Jardins de Gaïa's Organic Yuzu Green Tea is a refined blend combining two of Japan's finest varieties, for our greatest pleasure. The fresh, herbaceous flavors of green tea are enhanced by the fruity notes of yuzu, the celebrated Japanese citrus fruit, with its pleasant hints of grapefruit and mandarin. The result is a tea with a fresh, lively, and fragrant character, perfect for enjoying hot or iced, thirst-quenching drinks. At Les Jardins de Gaïa, the addition of natural flavors doesn't mask the tea's flavor, but rather adds new nuances and enhances its sensory richness. Grown according to organic farming principles, it's a genuine, high-quality tea, a sensory journey into the heart of Japanese tradition.

The roots of this tea are deep in Japanese culture

Yuzu is one of Japan's most beloved and iconic citrus fruits, where it has been cultivated and appreciated for centuries. With its intense and unmistakable aroma, halfway between grapefruit, mandarin, and lemon, yuzu is a key ingredient not only in Japanese cuisine—where it flavors sauces, dishes, and desserts—but also in ancient traditions, such as the "yuzu-yu," a hot bath with its fruit practiced during the winter solstice to promote health and well-being. Combining it with green tea, a sacred beverage in Japanese culture and the protagonist of the famous tea ceremony, means celebrating two symbols of Japan. All teas come from the same plant, Camellia sinensis: the unoxidized green tea preserves its light color and fresh, vegetal aromas. Les Jardins de Gaïa thus creates a refined tribute to Japanese art.

Choosing Yuzu Green Tea means taking care of yourself

Green tea has been prized for centuries for its many qualities. It is particularly rich in catechins and polyphenols, powerful antioxidants traditionally associated with the body's well-being and the protection of cells from free radicals. Because it does not undergo oxidation, green tea optimally preserves these precious active ingredients. It contains a moderate amount of theine, which provides a pleasant, sweet, and long-lasting energy boost, accompanied by theanine, an amino acid with a relaxing effect. Yuzu adds its vitamin C and its fresh, invigorating citrus aroma. Pleasant and light, this tea can be enjoyed throughout the day, both hot and iced. Being organically grown, it is free of synthetic chemical residues. A healthy, fresh, and refined choice for any occasion.

Best Uses: Organic Yuzu Green Tea

  • COLD AS ICED TEA, CITRUSY AND THIRST-QUENCHING — Its yuzu notes are enhanced in the cold version. Let it cool and serve it with ice and a few slices of Organic Red Grapefruit o Organic Mandarin, for a fresh, fruity and refined iced tea.
  • HOT, PURE OR AFTER MEALS — Its herbaceous and citrus notes are perfect for a break. Enjoy it warm, plain, to appreciate its freshness and aid digestion, Japanese style, perhaps after a sushi meal.
  • PAIRED WITH CITRUS SWEETS AND WHITE CHOCOLATE — Its fruity profile pairs well with pastry. Enjoy it with a square of White Chocolate Nougat with Hazelnuts or with a Vegan Spelt, Cocoa, and Hazelnut Cookies, for a delicious and balanced combination.
