Four generations of breeders between Nepi and Sutri, in the heart of the Viterbo Tuscia region.
A name that is a destiny: the life of animals, of the land and of a family that has never stopped looking after them.
The Vita Farm was founded in the early 1900s by Simone Vita, the current owner's great-great-grandfather. In a rural Italy characterized by toil and the seasons, Simone laid the foundations for something he could not yet have imagined: a family history destined to span more than a century. His surname already seems like a promise—Vita—and it will be life itself, that of the animals and the land, the legacy that each generation will pass on to the next.
In the mid-twentieth century, the baton passed to Fortunato, and then to Alberto: two names, two eras, one single dedication. These were the years when Italian agriculture was changing, but in the countryside between Nepi and Sutri, the Vita family remained faithful to traditional farming techniques, preserving a knowledge that has been handed down since 1931. Today, the farm is run by Alberto's children and grandchildren—Carlo, Maria Rosa, Annalisa, Simone, and Stefano—who have kept alive their passion for the land and animals, a spark that no century has managed to extinguish.

In the beautiful Viterbo countryside, between the Etruscan villages of Nepi and Sutri, the company now raises over 1000 head of cattle using healthy, natural methods, fully respecting the environment. The animals graze freely in the pastures of Tuscia, fed select forage and healthy foods, without the use of artificial substances. Animal welfare is the cornerstone of all their work: each animal is cared for with care and attention, ensuring optimal living conditions. Because for the Vita family, true quality is achieved only by respecting the land, animals, and people.
The strength of Vita Farm is its comprehensive management of every step: from breeding to direct sales at the company's butcher shop. In the late 1990s, a retail outlet was opened in Sutri, selling all cuts of meat, as well as cheeses and milk produced on the farm. A circular economy model that reduces waste and enhances every local resource: anyone who buys a Vita product knows exactly where it comes from, how it was raised, and who processed it.

The quality of Vita's production is recognized daily: the company is a daily supplier to the Centrale del Latte di Roma, a testament to the high quality standards achieved. Every morning, milk from the Nepi and Sutri countryside is shipped to the capital—a testament to the company's commitment to the highest standards of quality and food safety.
The Vita family's traditional farming techniques preserve the local ecosystem, soil fertility, and biodiversity of the Viterbo countryside. It's a concrete sustainability, practiced before it was even talked about: well-tended pastures, enhanced resources, and minimized waste. Every day, the company strives to maintain sustainable production that protects the environment and guarantees healthy, authentic products—the same pact with the land that Simone Vita made over a century ago.
All Vita products come from the same supply chain: animals raised with care in the Viterbo countryside, artisanal processing, and direct sales at the Sutri store. Meats, cheeses, and milk that speak to four generations of passion and an extraordinary region. At Al Passo Food, we've chosen to bring this centuries-old authenticity directly to your home.
