White wine from Passerina grapes in steel, fresh and sharp
Candied lemon, cut grass and Mediterranean scrub in a tense and crystalline sip, the most upright Passerina that smells of sun and sea.

La Fandella is a white wine made from pure Passerina grapes, obtained from clusters harvested in the northern section of the vineyard, where the predominantly gravelly soil lends the wine tension and finesse. Unlike maceration, here the Passerina is directly pressed and aged in stainless steel, a choice that preserves its freshness and aromatic purity. It is a natural, agricultural wine: unfiltered, produced exclusively from hand-picked grapes from the company's vineyard a few kilometers from the Adriatic Sea. Fermentation occurs spontaneously with only indigenous yeasts, without any forcing. The result is a white wine with fresh, almost sharp notes, where the citrus notes express themselves with nuances of candied lemon, followed by notes of cut grass and Mediterranean scrub. A vertical and crystalline wine, a pure expression of its terroir.
La Fandella is grown in Col di Tenda, near Grottammare, on a terroir with an ancient geological history, composed of alternating gravel and sand deposited by Quaternary marine sediments. The gravelly component of the northern part of the vineyard is the key to its pronounced freshness and sharp minerality. Passerina, a historic Piceno grape variety recovered from abandoned vineyards, finds a luminous and direct expression here, shaped by sea breezes. The choice of stainless steel for maturation reflects the desire to avoid interfering with the fruit, allowing the vine and the soil to speak for themselves. Each bottle is the fruit of patient and respectful labor, from harvesting in 10-kg crates to the cellar, where nothing is added. A wine that clearly narrates the dialogue between the vineyard and the Adriatic Sea.
Visual examination: Bright straw yellow with greenish reflections, slightly cloudy due to the lack of filtration, a sign of a lively and authentic wine.
Olfactory examination: fresh and almost sharp nose, dominated by citrus notes of candied lemon, followed by cut grass and the balsamic aromas of the Mediterranean scrub.
Taste test: On the palate, it's taut, vibrant, and thirst-quenching, with a distinct acidity that defines its vertical profile. The gravelly minerality leads to a clean, savory finish with a long, citrusy finish.
Founded in 2020 from the passion and friendship of Alessio Zappasodi and Francesco Torquati, Vigne Cave produces natural wines between the Adriatic Sea and the Marche hills, using spontaneous fermentations and the utmost respect for the land and its grapes.
