Artisanal green tea grown in agroforestry on the edge of Kibale National Park – €0,50 goes to chimpanzee conservation
A dense, velvety liqueur with delicious notes of brown sugar, yellow fruit, and warm stone: Africa's tea as you've never tasted it before.

Organic Uganda Green Tea is an extraordinary tea, crafted entirely by hand and harvested from tea plants grown in agroforestry near Kibale National Park, Uganda. The shade provided by the surrounding trees encourages the development of lively, sweet, and fruity aromas, resulting in a cup of dense, velvety liqueur with indulgent notes of brown sugar, yellow fruit, and warm stone. It comes from the Kahangi Tea Estate in the Kabarole District, an area shaped by the Rwenzori Mountains and the Albertine Rift Valley, with a tropical climate and soils ranging from sand to red clay. A tea that combines gastronomic excellence, biodiversity, and ethical commitment: for every pack sold, €0,50 is donated to the Sebitoli Project for the conservation of great apes.
The Kahangi Tea Estate garden dates back to the 30s and bears the traces of a troubled past: abandoned during the political turmoil of the mid-70s, it was repurchased only in 2001, and since 2006, the entire estate has been managed organically according to permaculture principles. Today, it is the only certified organic tea producer in the country and employs a majority of women farmers from various ethnic groups, who dedicate themselves to cultivating and harvesting the leaves. A short distance from the estate, Kibale National Park is home to a lush biodiversity: here, the Sebitoli Project has been studying the chimpanzee population since 2008, supported by sales of teas labeled "Save The Chimps," which help combat poaching and support local producers.
Green tea is a true ally for daily well-being: it is naturally rich in catechins and polyphenols, powerful antioxidants that help fight free radicals and cellular aging. Its balanced theine content, combined with L-theanine, promotes clear and prolonged concentration without the jittery spikes of coffee. Sipped regularly, green tea supports metabolism, aids digestion, and contributes to daily hydration, while remaining very low in calories. Artisanal processing and organic cultivation in agroforestry, free from pesticides and chemical inputs, guarantee a whole leaf rich in active ingredients, fully respecting the health of both the drinker and the grower.
Since 1994, Les Jardins de Gaïa has offered exclusively organic teas and herbal teas, with natural and certified flavors, going so far as to require its suppliers to use certified organic aromatic solvents and media. With its "Teas with a Mission" line, it donates €0,50 for each product sold to organizations committed to nature conservation, culture, and education, such as the Sebitoli Project for the conservation of great apes in Uganda.
