Podere Marella

Podere Marella, one of the first wineries in Italy to have adopted the techniques and criteria of organic farming, is located in a central position on the border between Tuscany and Umbria, near Lake Trasimeno and the intersection of the two major roads that they unite on the one hand the North and the South of Italy and on the other Siena and Perugia. The property is protected from interference from the outside world by the centuries-old oak forest that surrounds it, without however preventing the eye from sweeping as far as the eye can see over vineyards, olive trees and cultivated fields.
The wine area is that of the DOC Trasimeno, a still little known denomination which, however, has nothing to envy to the neighboring and more famous DOC Montepulciano and Cortona.
The farmhouse, whose main body dates back to the 700th century, has been converted into a country residence with discreet luxury, the perfect place for relaxing stays and for special events.
