Sicilian Organic Oregano

An aromatic-coloring plant native to the Mediterranean region.

1. Aroma and flavor – Sicilian oregano has an intense and spicy aroma, with pungent and bitter notes. The flavor is similar, with complex reflections reminiscent of mint, toffee and tea.

2. Appearance – It is a low plant, which grows to a maximum height of about 30 cm and has green heart-shaped leaves, very small and densely distributed. The flowers are collected in dense inflorescences, white-pink or purple-blue in color.

3. Kitchen – Sicilian oregano is one of the fundamental ingredients of Mediterranean cuisine, and is widely used to flavor meat, fish and vegetable dishes, such as pizza, marinara sauce, bruschetta, salads and soups.
