The kiwi that is eaten with the peel, sweet as a grape and as big as a berry
One bite, all the flavor of kiwi: the garden's tastiest surprise.

They look like small green grapes, but as soon as you taste them, there's no doubt: they're kiwis, with all their emerald-green flesh and tiny black seeds. Mini Arguta Kiwis—also called baby kiwis or kiwiberries—have a smooth, very thin skin that can be eaten whole, without peeling or waste. Their flavor is sweeter and less tart than traditional kiwis, with tropical notes reminiscent of pineapple and strawberry. Grown by Roncaglia Bio according to organic farming principles, they're the perfect snack: they're rinsed and eaten, bite by bite, exactly as fruit should be.
The Actinidia arguta It is the hardy cousin of the common kiwi, and its history is anything but tropical: it grows wild in the cold forests of Manchuria, Korea, northern Japan, and eastern Siberia, where it tolerates temperatures well below freezing. It is precisely this frost resistance—unthinkable for the hairy-skinned kiwi, which arrived in the West from China and was later named after the bird symbolizing New Zealand—that has allowed it to be cultivated in continental climates. In Japan, the sarunashi, literally "monkey pear," has been harvested in the woods for centuries; it only recently arrived in Europe, winning over those seeking new, convenient, and extraordinarily rich fruits in just a few years.
Small but mighty: Arguta kiwis contain more vitamin C, proportionally, than traditional kiwis—and eating them with the peel provides fiber, polyphenols, and antioxidants that are completely lost in the peeled version. They're also a good source of vitamin E, potassium, and actinidin, the proteolytic enzyme that aids protein digestion and makes kiwi a natural ally for bowel regularity. Their natural sweetness and single-serving size make them the ideal snack for children, who enjoy eating them precisely because they don't require a knife or peeling.
Roncaglia Bio cultivates according to organic farming principles, selecting unique and rare varieties and harvesting them at the perfect stage of ripeness. Careful production puts fruit quality and respect for the soil above yield.

Store in the refrigerator, in the crisper drawer. If they're still firm when you receive them, let them ripen for a couple of days at room temperature: they're ready when they give slightly to your fingertips. Wash them only shortly before eating, as their thin skin is delicate.
