The Il Castoro farm, owned by same family since 1800, extends within a regional protected area, tbetween the two lakes of Martignano and Bracciano, on hilly terrain of volcanic origin, in a unique context.

On the grounds are grown organically: fodder, cereals, legumes and pomegranates; a large part of them is reserved for pasture and coppice. No genetically modified seeds are used and no herbicides or pesticides are used, soil fertility is maintained, environmental impact is reduced to a minimum, biodiversity is restored.

The animals, which are guaranteed wide pastures, sheds and bright stables, grow according to natural rhythms, are not stressed and rarely get sick.

They are reared at wild state especially Charolaise breed cattle.

Three varieties of pomegranates have been grown for some years, always organically: Wonderful, Mollar de Elce, Valenciana. The pomegranates are harvested in September and used fresh or transformed into juice; 100% pomegranate juice and pomegranate and pear juice.
