The Zimmitti soap factory is an artisanal family soap factory.

The history of the Zimmitti soap factory is a story of tradition, passion, dedication, which has start in 1875.

Francesco, Salvatore's great-grandfather, the current owner, was a small olive oil merchant, who began producing small quantities of soap for the home.

His ability to perfect the saponification method made the product highly appreciated, so much so that Francesco was encouraged to develop his own
activities and start marketing the soap.

During the Second World War the soap factory Zimmitti becomes soap supplier for the Navy of Augusta (SR) and the product begins to spread outside Sicily, in cities such as Rome and Genoa, contributing to the growth of the brand.

In the 60s, Luigi and Emmanuele, two of Francesco's five sons, continued their father's business, carrying on the tradition and art of soapmaking.

The Zimmitti brand is registered and their business registered with the Caltanisetta Chamber of Commerce.

In 2009, Salvatore Zimmitti, Luigi's nephew, became manager of the soap factory, which had previously belonged to his grandfather and father and decided to revolutionize the business, experimenting with new products and combining tradition
to innovation.

Salvatore's philosophy is that of use few, natural and high quality ingredients, to produce an artisanal soap that is gentle on the skin and highly effective.

Today the secrets of grandfather Francesco's ancient recipe are kept by Salvatore Zimmitti, who continues to produce an artisanal olive oil soap using the traditional hot method.

Today the Zimmitti Saponificio produces solid and liquid soaps in ten fragrances: natural with olive oil, honey, aloe vera, donkey's milk, apuntia (prickly pear), lavender, jasmine, with almond blossom, lemon, citrus fruits, and Iblei wind, a unique fragrance. As well as solid scrubs: with poppy seeds and Trapani sea salt.

All Zimmitti soaps are 100% olive oil, paraben-free, preservative-free, allergen-free, colorant-free and vegan.
