SMALL PRODUCERS
The network of small Italian farms selected by Al Passo Food: 100% natural, untreated, with a controlled supply chain
Behind every crate of fruit and vegetables is a face, a field, and a promise: no chemicals, just nature and the seasons.
Who are the small producers of Al Passo Food?
When you read "Small Producers" on our products, you're reading a collective story: that of the many small Italian farms from which we at Al Passo Food source our produce every week. They're almost always certified organic or grow without the use of chemicals, hand-picked to bring superior-quality fruit and vegetables to your table. These aren't anonymous suppliers, but real farmers, with names, fields, and stories, united by a common commitment: respecting the land, the seasons, and those who eat the fruits of their labor.
A strict selection, only one rule: no chemicals
Our selection isn't a formality: every company joining the Small Producers network commits to not treating their plants with chemicals, under penalty of immediate exclusion from our site. It's a simple, non-negotiable rule that protects you and rewards those who work honestly. Thanks to our team of experts, we certify each product according to three criteria that we consider as valid as a specification: good, healthy, and sustainable. The supply chain is monitored by the producer until sale, to guarantee traceability and absolute, uncompromising quality—and at a price that remains acceptable and affordable.
Spending that changes with the seasons
There's a reason why fruits and vegetables from small producers taste so good: they truly follow the seasons. The farms we source change from week to week, based on what the fields offer at their peak—because a July tomato or a January cabbage doesn't need to be forced to be extraordinary. This means availability varies, but freshness is always at its peak: what arrives in your box was picked at the perfect stage of ripeness, by hands that know each plant. Want to know which farm this week's produce comes from? Contact our customer service team; we'll be happy to tell you.
Why choose small producers?
Choosing Small Producers means voting every day for a different kind of agriculture: that of small Italian family farms that resist industrialization, cultivating their produce naturally and untreated. It means superior quality at a fair price, true traceability, and the certainty that every purchase is backed by rigorous and continuous monitoring. And it also means supporting the local agricultural economy: every crate purchased is oxygen for those who protect the Italian countryside.
