The Nettuno company, specialized in preserved fish products, born in the 1950 on the initiative of Raffaele Giordano.
The main activity at the time consisted in the transformation of fish and fruit and vegetable products,
the latter abandoned in 2000 to devote himself solely to the transformation of sea products.
Since the 1950s the company has specialized in the production of anchovy fillets, fished in the opposite gulf of Cetara.
The products came distributed by bicycle, then from the mid-1950s with a lambretta and from the early 1960s with a FIAT 500 van.
The rediscovery began in the 1990s of the ancient main condiment of the tables of Cetara: the "Colatura di Alici". The company therefore specializes in the production and marketing of this product, which is exported all over the world.
Today the sons of the founder, Vincenzo and Giulio Giordano, manage the company and continue with passion the
family work. Depositaries of a knowledge handed down for generations, transform the fish into preserves according to the typical ancestral tradition of Cetara.
La production depends on the quantities and types of local fish, as the products are entirely handmade with local raw materials.
