Who is Kokopelli?

The name is inspired by a mythological figure from the Americas: a hunchbacked flute player who tirelessly travels. His hump is actually a sack filled with seeds, and his music is a call to fertility. Kokopelli sows life, but he is also a noble warrior, a mischievous character who stirs consciences to awaken the seed of food freedom in each of us.

The adventure of Kokopelli begins in 1999 from the ashes of “Terre de Semences”, closed under the pressure of laws that favored agro-industry at the expense of biodiversity. Founded by Dominique and Sofy Guillet, this reality was born as an act of challenge and hope: to protect what is most precious to us – free, organic and reproducible seeds.

Today, a team of over thirty people works every day with an unshakeable belief:
