From a small warehouse to a big dream: the story of I Frutti del Sole

It was 1992 when I Frutti del Sole was born in Sicily, inside a small warehouse: among the very first on the island to believe in the potential of a diverse and sustainable agriculture, when organic farming was still a visionary venture. The goal was clear from day one: to grow and distribute select, superior-quality Sicilian organic products. Today, that venture has become a reality, with 60 people working in the office, warehouse, and agricultural teams, and over 60 hectares of fruit and vegetable cultivation: thirty years of work have transformed an intuition into one of the most beautiful stories in Italian organic farming.

A community that cultivates people, even before vegetables

The philosophy of I Frutti del Sole is centered on support, hospitality, and respect for its employees: words that are not just a slogan here, but a daily practice. Over the years, the company has created a community of people of different nationalities—immigrants, Italians, and former prisoners—who live together in a rewarding working environment for all, where work in the fields becomes an opportunity for redemption and dignity. Around this core, a network of 50 Sicilian farmer members has grown, united by the values of healthy and ethical food that respects the land and people: because a fruit is truly good only if the story that brought it to fruition is right.
