Antica Tenuta Giovanna was purchased by the Aquilani family in 1932, since 1993 the management has been ensured by Alessandro Aquilani (in the photo with Lorenzo from AlPassoFood)

The company was certified organic in 2000.

In the 30s the company practiced sheep breeding and durum wheat cultivation. In the an the 90s the decision was made to switch to organic but not to return to organic cultivation the cultivations carried out traditionally.

So they looked for each other ancient grains and seeds that were once cultivated in the area and spelled and Khorasan wheat also known as Kamut® have been found

Today the company specializes in the organic cultivation of these cereals from which excellent bread is obtained and excellent pasta is produced.

Alongside these cultivations, the cultivation of lavender has also been added over the years, 4 hectares are cultivated with lavender, from which essential oil is extracted.

Today the company produces spelt, Khorasan wheat, buckwheat, millet, quinoa, chickpeas, lentils, as well as essential oils of lavender, rosemary and hyssop.

A small one has been created cosmetics line, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, which contain only natural products grown on the farm with fragrances
obtained from the company's essential oils.

They also have a farmhouse where you can sleep “French house”
