Sammontana Chianti DOCG Organic Farm

The Chianti DOCG from Fattoria di Sammontana

The Fattoria di Sammontana Chianti DOCG Organic is the most typical and traditional expression of the region: a classic young Chianti, fresh and lively, with medium alcohol content and medium body. Produced from organically and biodynamically grown Sangiovese, Canaiolo, and Colorino grapes, it is harvested strictly by hand to select the finest bunches. Spontaneous fermentation using indigenous yeasts and the absence of fining or filtration preserve its integrity and authenticity. A straightforward and immediately enjoyable wine, it sincerely reflects its homeland and the expertise of environmentally friendly winemaking.

The roots of this Chianti are deep in Tuscan tradition

Chianti is one of the world's most celebrated Italian wines, an undisputed symbol of Tuscany's winemaking tradition. Its origins date back centuries, when the farmers of these hills began making wine from Sangiovese, the region's flagship grape. The Chianti appellation is among the oldest in Italy, formalized in the 18th century to protect a wine that was already appreciated far beyond the region's borders. Fattoria di Sammontana preserves this legacy with dedication, choosing organic and biodynamic practices to bring all the authenticity of the past into the bottle. Every sip is a bridge between past and present.

Choosing Chianti Sammontana means taking care of yourself

A wine produced organically and biodynamically, without fining or filtration, represents a conscious choice for a more natural approach to drinking. Spontaneous fermentation using indigenous yeasts preserves the original characteristics of the grapes and the integrity of the product. Sangiovese, a red grape variety, is naturally rich in polyphenols and anthocyanins, compounds with recognized antioxidant properties. Consumed in moderation, red wine is part of the convivial Mediterranean tradition. Choosing a biodynamic wine also means supporting sustainable farming practices that respect the land and the vineyard's biodiversity.
