The Alpine Symphony of Eight Herbs to Rediscover Lightness and Well-Being

Organic Herbal Tea to Feel Light

Organic Herbal Tea to Feel Light Nurse's yard

This organic herbal tea represents a skillful selection of eight medicinal herbs grown and dried on the farms of Alto Adige by the Susi family of Pflegerhof. Each biodegradable tea bag contains a harmonious blend of centaury, peppermint, fennel, lemon balm, calendula, mallow, cornflower, and rose petals, all certified organic and hand-picked at their peak balsamic state. This herbal synergy was designed to promote digestive lightness, cleanse the body, reduce bloating, and provide a feeling of profound well-being. Mint and fennel combat bloating and fermentation, lemon balm calms and relaxes, centaury purifies, calendula soothes, mallow protects mucous membranes, while cornflower and rose petals add aromatic delicacy and antioxidant properties. The result is a balanced, fresh, and slightly floral infusion, perfect after meals or as a daily wellness ritual.

The roots of this herbal tea are deep in the Alpine herbal tradition.

The art of blending medicinal herbs to create therapeutic teas is a millennia-old tradition passed down from generation to generation on the farms of Alto Adige. Tyrolean peasant wisdom perfectly understood the properties of every plant growing wild or cultivated in the mountain meadows and gardens. Farm women prepared specific herbal teas for each ailment: digestive aids after hearty meals, purifying during the change of seasons, relaxing in the evening. Centaury, known as "fever herb," was gathered in Alpine pastures; lemon balm grew in monastic gardens; wild fennel scented mountain paths; and rose petals were dried as a precious remedy. The Pflegerhof continues this legacy with passion and expertise, growing herbs organically, respecting the lunar cycles for harvesting, and creating balanced blends according to ancient recipes from Alto Adige farms, now packaged in practical, environmentally friendly biodegradable filters.

Therapeutic Properties of the Herbal Blend

Each herb in this herbal tea provides specific benefits which, when combined, create a powerful synergistic effect for digestive and general well-being:

  • Centaurea (Centaurium erythraea): A bitter digestive tonic, it stimulates appetite and gastric secretion, cleanses the liver and gallbladder, and lowers fever. Traditionally used as a blood purifier.
  • Peppermint: Digestive, carminative, antispasmodic. Reduces abdominal swelling, fermentation, and cramps. Refreshes and provides immediate relief. Stimulates bile and aids fat digestion.
  • Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare): A powerful carminative that eliminates intestinal gas and bloating. Antispasmodic, digestive, and aids lactation. It gives a sweet, sweetish flavor to herbal teas.
  • Melissa (Melissa officinalis): A calming agent for the nervous system and a digestive antispasmodic. Useful for irritable bowel syndrome, anxiety, insomnia, and palpitations. It aids digestion by calming a nervous stomach.
  • Marigold (Calendula officinalis): Anti-inflammatory and healing for gastric and intestinal mucosa. It detoxifies the liver, increases bile secretion, and lowers cholesterol. It regulates female hormones.
  • Mallow (Malva sylvestris): Emollient and protective of digestive mucosa thanks to its mucilage content. Gentle laxative, anti-inflammatory, and soothing. Protects the stomach and intestines from irritation.
