Organic Ché Chun Vietnam White Tea from Les Jardins de Gaïa

Organic Ché Chun Vietnam White Tea comes from the buds and first two leaves of ancient Vietnamese tea trees, processed in the style of Bai Mu Dan, the famous "White Peony." Its infusion, with the scent of wild meadows and delicately fruity aromas, is both light and refreshing: an ideal drink for sunny days, perfect at any time of day and suitable for everyone. The leaves come from the Van Chan cooperative in Yen Bai province, in northwestern Vietnam: a region of mountains and deep valleys, with a tropical monsoon climate, ferrallitic soils, and forests rich in tree species and medicinal plants, where the Thao River and its tributaries irrigate the cultivated fields.

The roots of this Ché Chun White Tea lie in the most delicate tradition of the art of tea.

White tea is considered the most precious and least processed of all teas. Originating in Imperial China, where it was reserved for the emperor's tribute, it owes its name to the fine silvery down that covers the buds. The Bai Mu Dan, "White Peony," style involves harvesting the bud with the top two leaves, which are simply left to wither and dry, without rolling or forced oxidation: an art of extraction that preserves the plant's soul intact. In Vietnam, this tradition encounters a unique heritage: the ancient tea trees of the high mountains, cultivated for generations by the Yen Bai ethnic minority. The Van Chan cooperative, founded in 2004 and certified Fairtrade, brings together these small producers, faithful to their own languages and customs. The Fairtrade premium has funded training in organic farming, expansion of production areas, and even the reconstruction of a bridge in the Suoi Bu commune, damaged by a storm.

Choosing Organic Ché Chun Vietnam White Tea means taking care of yourself.

White tea is among the most antioxidant-rich teas of all: minimal processing preserves its extremely high content of polyphenols and catechins, precious allies against free radicals and cellular aging. Its naturally moderate and gently released caffeine content makes it suitable for any time of day, even for those sensitive to stimulants. Light, virtually calorie-free, and gentle on the stomach, it promotes hydration, supports the body's natural defenses, and provides a calming, clear-headed break without weighing you down. Organic cultivation on ancient mountain trees, far from any synthetic chemicals, guarantees a leaf as whole and pure as its cup.

How to Best Use: Organic Ché Chun Vietnam White Tea

  • A COLD SUMMER TEA WITH THE SCENT OF THE MEADOW: prepare a cold infusion by leaving the leaves in fresh water for 6-8 hours in the refrigerator, then serve with a few leaves of fresh mint and wedges of Organic Snuffbox Peaches: the perfect thirst-quenching drink for sunny days, which enhances the fruity notes of the White Peony.
  • A LIGHT BREAKFAST ON TIPTOE: the delicacy of this white tea accompanies without overpowering a Organic Farm White Yogurt sweetened with a drizzle of Organic Acacia Honey, the gentlest of honeys: a fresh, clean and balanced awakening.
  • AN ELEGANT TEA TIME WITH WHISPERING FLAVOURS: serve the steaming cup alongside some toasted bread Organic Buffalo Ricotta embellished with a drop of Organic Lemon Honey, on a basis of seeded loaf bread: a refined combination that respects the ethereal profile of the tea.
