From Organic Farming to Eco-Roasting — Gold Medal at the International Coffee Tasting
Peru, Brazil and Mexico in a single blend: a broad and elegant bouquet, with notes of cocoa and citrus fruits

Terrae is a selection of pure organic Arabica beans, assembled into an elegant and aromatic blend in which the spicy notes typical of Mexican Berilo meet the refined floral notes of Peruvian Chanchamayo, with accents of honey and toasted almonds. Three origins, three altitudes, three different interpretations of the same botanical species: the result is a broad and elegant bouquet and a harmonious flavor, with hints of cocoa and citrus notes. All crafted with the signature medium organic roasting method of the Palermo-based roaster, it was recognized with the Gold Medal at the International Coffee Tasting—one of the most rigorous competitions in the industry.
Assembling a blend is a craft that's more like musical composition than chemistry: no single origin possesses everything—some bring body, some acidity, some floral aromas, some sweet structure—and the master roaster's task is to make them play together without any one overpowering the others. Terrae's three voices tell the story of specific geographies: Chanchamayo is a valley in the central Peruvian Andes, where coffee grows in the shade at high altitudes and develops fine acidity and floral aromas; Brazilian Santos—named after the port of embarkation, not the region—has been the sweet, mellow backbone of countless Italian blends for over a century; Mexican Berilo provides the spicy note that gives character to the whole. All are hand-picked, bean by bean, using the traditional technique.hand picking: only perfectly ripe drupes, in successive passages on the same plant.
Smell: ample and elegant bouquet, opening with spicy hints of Mexican Berilo and floral notes of Peruvian Chanchamayo, with accents of honey and toasted almonds.
Taste: harmonious and well-balanced, with hints of cocoa and citrus notes, supported by fine acidity and a clean, persistent finish.
Morettino has been roasting coffee in Palermo since 1920, for four generations, using a slow artisanal method and zero-impact, organic roasting. The raw materials are selected directly on the plantation, in collaboration with small producers and with respect for local communities: complete control of the supply chain, from bean to cup.
Ground coffee is delicate: store the package tightly closed in a cool, dry place, away from light and strong-smelling foods, which are easily absorbed by the ground coffee. Avoid the refrigerator, where humidity and odors compromise the aroma. Once opened, consume the product within a few weeks to fully enjoy its bouquet.
