Les Jardins de Gaïa Organic Mini Tuocha Pu'er Tea

Les Jardins de Gaïa's Organic Mini Tuocha Pu'er Tea is made by pressing pu'er leaves harvested from ancient tea trees: small, compressed "nests," charming and easy to carry. Simply slip one into your pocket or bag to always have its woody, slightly sweet flavors at hand, whether in the office or on a trip to the other side of the world. Each mini tuocha is the perfect dose: 2 grams per 25 cl of water at 95°C, with the option of reinfusing the same leaves multiple times. The great Chinese dark tea, organic and fair trade, in a pocket-sized format.

The roots of this Mini Tuocha Pu'er Tea are deep in tradition

Tea compression is one of the most ingenious inventions in Chinese history: for centuries, along the ancient Tea and Horse Road connecting Yunnan to Tibet, tea leaves were compressed into blocks, bricks, and nests—compact forms that withstood months of caravan travel and, in certain eras, even served as currency. The tuocha, the distinctive "nest" with its central hollow, is the direct heir to that nomadic tradition: during the journey and rest, the pu'erh continued to slowly transform, developing the smooth, earthy profile that makes it unique. White, green, black, and dark teas, after all, come from the same plant: it's terroir, the finesse of the leaf, and the processing that create a limitless palette of flavors.

Choosing Mini Tuocha Pu'er Tea means taking care of yourself

In Chinese tradition, pu-erh is the tea of daily well-being: its natural fermentation makes it smooth and digestible, suitable for any time of day, and each cup contains negligible amounts of calories, sugar, fat, and salt. The single-serve format adds a very practical benefit: no measuring cups or opened packets that can be ruined, just the right amount of whole leaves, always fresh because they are protected from compression, wherever you are. And the ability to re-brew the same tea multiple times is also good for the environment and your wallet. Certified organic since 1994 and fair trade (WFTO): a small daily gesture with a huge value.

How to Best Use: Organic Mini Tuocha Pu'er Tea

  • THE SMART BREAK IN THE OFFICE: A nest in the cup, water at 95°C and 3–4 minutes of patience: the perfect break, to be reinfused throughout the day. To be accompanied with Organic toasted shelled hazelnuts e Organic Dried Plums: a simple snack that complements the woody notes of the tea.
  • THE HIKER'S BACKPACK: Lightweight and indestructible, the mini tuocha was born for travel. Prepare it in a thermos before leaving and enjoy it at the summit with a handful of organic shelled almonds; in autumn, the perfect bivouac is completed by the Chestnuts from Tuscia roasted on the fire.
  • THE RITUAL OF REPEATED INFUSIONS AFTER DINNER: As in the Gongfu tradition, reinfuse the nest several times, discovering how the flavor evolves cup after cup. Accompany the tasting with a piece of Dark Chocolate with Whole Hazelnuts: Pu'er's earthy character loves aged flavors.
