The cultivation of "Bella di Cerignola", one of the largest table olives in the world, has very ancient origins.
Some authors believe that this cultivar derives from the “Orchite” olives of ancient Rome, of which there is traces in the writings of Columella.
In any case, since no similar plant has ever been found elsewhere, it can be considered a native variety of the Cerignola countryside.
The company is located in a flat area, typical of the board, "Contrada Acquamela" and extends for 8 hectares in which olive cultivars "Bella di Cerignola" (table olive), "Coratina", vineyard (Trebbiano and Sangiovese).
Our company was born from the idea of preserving a tradition and maximizing it at 360 degrees, the Fusillo / Pinto family has always worked in agriculture maintaining and passing on their passion and their know-how to the consequent heirs, particularly intriguing one of them, the Dr. Pinto Gioacchino who, attracted by the fascinating rural world, decided, as they say to "take the bull by the horns", not only obtaining a degree cum laude in Agricultural Sciences but taking over in 2018 as a partner and active part of the agency.
