An ancient tradition reborn: discover the genuine products of the Certosa di Firenze

For centuries, Carthusian monks have dedicated themselves to the cultivation of medicinal herbs and the production of natural remedies, liqueurs and artisanal delicacies.

Today, this ancient tradition lives again at the Certosa di Firenze thanks to the Community of San Leolino and the wise guidance of Valerio Bonechi, guardian of secrets and recipes handed down over time.

A treasure trove of natural products:

  • Liquors: produced with wood distillation and the infusion of herbs and fruits, some aged in oak barrels for an even more refined taste. Discover the Elisir della Certosa, a “sweet” bitter with digestive properties.
  • Jams and preserves: made with fruit grown on the Certosa land, a concentrate of taste and authenticity.
  • Extra virgin olive oil: produced with Tuscan olives, with a fruity and traditional flavour.
  • Pharmacy products: natural remedies for body care, such as Real Crema based on beeswax and Balsamic Wax for bruises and muscle pain.
  • Scented essences: Lavender extract and perfume water, obtained from the distillation of lavender flowers from Certosa.
