This brown alga grows attached to coastal rocks, discovered by the tides, on the North Atlantic coast.
The harvest takes place from March to July.
The base is very thick, similar to a small green-brown mushroom, which stretches into thin strips of 2-4 meters of average length that make them look like terrestrial beans, hence the name "beans of the sea".
Slightly iodized e very rich in vitamin C (5 times more than oranges).
-Drain and rinse before use.
- They can be eaten raw or soaked 2-3 minutes in boiling water or fried in a pan with butter or oil ... Delicious
-The sea beans are perfect with dried legumes or with pasta.
Hard in texture when raw, beans require pre-cooking (optional) in boiling water.
