Unfiltered and unpasteurized Golden Ale with rare mountain Roveja — 5,7% Vol.
More than a beer: an identity project in the glass, the golden bridge between a legume saved from oblivion and the land that has preserved it

This beer is more than a drink: it's an identity project, a bridge between the land of Monteleone di Spoleto and the history of an extraordinary legume. Roveja—the ancient wild pea forgotten for decades and now returned to life in the company's mountain fields—is the beating heart of this creation, born from a very short supply chain collaboration with an Umbrian microbrewery. "La Dimenticata" is a vibrant 5,7% ABV Golden Ale, unfiltered and unpasteurized. The company's roveja, enriched with classic ingredients from the great brewing tradition, offers a balanced and surprisingly versatile aromatic profile, with that rustic and sincere character that only a living beer, born where its ingredients originate, can possess. A taste reminiscent of the land—because it has never strayed from that land.
Before beer became an industry, it was agriculture: in rural Europe, every grain-growing farm brewed its own beer—the famous farmhouse ales—using whatever the fields yielded that year: barley and wheat, but also legumes, spices, and garden herbs, in recipes that varied from farm to farm and from season to season. Beer was a self-portrait of the farm: a daily beverage of agricultural labor, different everywhere because the land was different everywhere. “La Dimenticata” brings that very spirit back to life: a mountain farm that entrusts its rarest crop—the roveja, saved from extinction—to a microbrewery in the same region, for a beer that no one else in the world could match. The farmhouse ale of the Umbrian Apennines, with a legume that has survived the millennia.
An unfiltered and unpasteurized beer is a living beer: it retains the yeasts, proteins, and aromatic compounds that industrial processes eliminate, resulting in that light haze and full-bodied flavor that are hallmarks of artisanal production. Its low 5,7% ABV puts it among conversational beers, best enjoyed slowly and in company. And its value goes beyond the glass: each bottle actively supports the cultivation of Roveja, helping to preserve a biodiversity that was on the verge of extinction, and a very short Umbrian supply chain, from the field to the brewery. Drinking responsibly here also has a second meaning.
Dolci Giuseppina is a family-run farm in Monteleone di Spoleto, the highest municipality in Umbria. On land inherited from their grandparents, at about a thousand meters above sea level, the family grows the famous mountain spelt, along with barley and heirloom legumes—including the rare roveja, the star of this beer—and saffron, even embarking on very short supply chain collaborations, such as the one with the Umbrian microbrewery that produces La Dimenticata.
