Absinthe liqueur

Ancient liqueur, it has always been prepared with three main ingredients (called the holy trinity): artemisia, anise and fennel.

The dark green color is obtained by adding other green herbs, such as mint and sagebrush.

Artisan liqueur

Its opacity is due to the essential oils of fennel and anise seeds which, when mixed with water, make the product opaque.

The preparation of this liqueur takes place in the dark, cold and away from sources of light and heat.

This particular liqueur is worked twice in fact after a first maceration other herbs are added again and finally it is left to rest for several months.

Filtration takes place naturally and without the use of machinery.

ICONIC COCKTAILS WITH ABSINTHE

• CLASSIC ABSINTHE: Pour 30 ml of absinthe into a glass. Place a slotted spoon on the glass, place a sugar cube on top, and drip ice water over the top until the liquid becomes cloudy.
• SAZERAC: Chill an old-fashioned glass with ice and a splash of absinthe. Discard the ice and excess absinthe. In a mixing glass with ice, combine 60 ml rye whiskey, 5 ml simple syrup, and 2 dashes Peychaud's Bitters. Strain into the prepared glass and garnish with a lemon twist.
• DEATH IN THE AFTERNOON: A legendary cocktail attributed to Ernest Hemingway. Pour 45 ml of absinthe into a champagne flute and gently top up with chilled champagne.
