FERRARI BIO, Vezzano sul crostolo (RE)

Well before starting the production of Parmigiano Reggiano (January 2013), our company started raising dairy cattle IN ORGANIC REGIME ALREADY IN THE 80s.

We have always produced drinking milk (Organic Ferrari milk) feeding our cows as it used to be, with GRASS AND HAY, thanks to the meadows and pastures that surround our farm. Vegetable supplements (cereals and legumes) are minimal - and all NO-GMOs, all coming from our territory.

The quality

Our milk intended for the production of Organic Parmigiano Reggiano is produced in full compliance with the CONSORTIUM RULES of Parmigiano Reggiano, with respect to which we have decided to introduce ADDITIONAL QUALITY CONDITIONS (on ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS and ANIMAL WELLBEING) than indicated in the production specification.

This approach, which has characterized our company since its inception, allowed us, in 2013, to adhere to the Regional Animal Welfare Plan from the first verification received, as they already comply with the regulations.

The breeding

In particular, our cattle are fully fed and cared for design, thanks to the following rigorous choices:

- NO CHEMICAL FERTILIZERS for farm crops (**)

- NO SYNTHESIS PESTICIDE

- NO CONVENTIONAL MEDICINES

- YES to MEDICINES and NATURAL REMEDIES (HOMEOPATHY AND PHYTOTHERAPY)

In the case of pathologies that cannot be resolved naturally, when the animal must be subjected to antibiotic therapies, its milk is excluded from the production of any food, according to the provisions of the law.
