In those years there was no Demeter certification in Italy, so they decided to contact the Demeter headquarters in Germany where the Organic and Biodynamic was already experiencing a moment of great interest


When Felice and Iride Guerzoni, in an effort to react to the problem of river and air pollution, decided in 1984 to embrace the Biodynamic philosophy by registering directly with Demeter in Germany for certification.


Let’s move on to the facts, on May 8, 1984 the official request to Demeter signed by Guerzoni Felice.

After the first inspection by the inspector Dr. Obermaier sent by the German Demeter, he signs the contract with the acceptance of the company in the circuit of controls with the Biodin brand, thus starting the period of 3 years of conversion of the vines. The contract was signed on 6 June 1984. The Biodynamic certification is already proof that ours is the first certified organic vinegar factory, a biodynamic product is also organic.

Since then nothing has changed, the company is still managed by the Guerzoni family and cultivates the same land in the same way. Incredible to think how the books written by Rudolf Steiner in the early 1900s have so convinced our family to intertwine the history.
Today the company is managed by his son, Lorenzo Guerzoni, who carries on the teachings and history of his father’s company, who followed his studies in Chemistry and the Demeter directives for the production of the best balsamic vinegar.
